Richard A. Robinson is Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. Born and raised in Stamford, he attended Stamford Public Schools and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctor degree from the West Virginia University School of Law. Named to NAACP's 100 Most Influential Blacks in Connecticut and recipient of the Connecticut Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section Diversity Award, Richard served as President of the Stamford Branch ofthe NAACP, General Counsel for the Connecticut Conference of the NAACP, Commissioner of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, Chair of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and on the Connecticut Bar Foundation. He is Chair of the Advisory Committee on Cultural Competency Committee and a James W. Cooper Fellows, Life Fellow. Richard resides in Stratford with his wife, Nancy, and their two children.
