In honor of Black History Month, Discovering Amistad in collaboration with Connecticut’s Old State House and Connecticut Freedom Trail presents an invigorating moderated roundtable discussion.
The event will be moderated by Tammy Denease, Outreach Director for the Connecticut Freedom Trail. Three phenomenal Scholars will share fascinating history and their remarkable work to reclaim and highlight Black Narratives with Black Descendants.

Jeffrey Fletcher – Descendant of Ruby and Calvin Fletcher
Constance Royster – Descendant of the Judge Constance Baker Motley
John Mills – Trained Genealogist and Independent Scholar
