A resident of North Stonington, Tom Bishop is a retired judge of the Connecticut Appellate Court and a former member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Connecticut Law School. Tom continues to work part time in his judicial capacity. A descendent of a Newfoundland cod fisherman, Tom has a great love of the sea, boating and America’s maritime history. Serving on the National Advisory Council affords Tom the opportunity to merge these interests and to help keep Amistad as a ship and a story alive and relevant to current issues of diversity, dispute resolution and liberty in the community today.
