Alexis Smith is Deputy Director at New Haven Legal Assistance. In 2015, Alexis was named to Connecticut Magazine’s ‘40 under 40’ list. She served as president of the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association and Secretary of the Connecticut Bar Association and is Secretary of the Connecticut Center for Arts and Technology (CONNCAT) Board of Directors. Alexis serves on the Board of Directors of Highville Charter School and Elm City Internationals. She has a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Alexis resides in Hamden with her husband, Ken, and their three children, Carlton, Deborah, and Kayden.
