Discovering Amistad will hold tours and a Freedom Sail open to the public at Captain’s Cove, 1 Bostwick Avenue, Bridgeport.
Sunday, June 10
Sail at 10:00 a.m.
$50 for adults
$30 for children 7-18
While enjoying a 2-1/2 hour sail, you will learn how the Amistad’s history is related to present-day issues of racial and social diversity. We’ll also tell you all about Discovering Amistad’s unique programs!
Sails can accommodate 40 guests age 7 and older. All guests are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure. It is important to be prompt, because we don’t want to leave anyone behind at the dock or keep our guests waiting on our departure.
What to bring: It gets cooler once we are out sailing, and weather can change quickly once we are out on the water. Please bring a hat for sun, sunscreen, a warm layer (fleece or sweater), a water-resistant shell or rain jacket for wind protection, and closed-toe shoes.
