Discovering Amistad and Juneteenth of Fairfield County invite the public to a sail aboard the historic Amistad at Captain’s Cove, 1 Bostwick Avenue, Bridgeport.
While enjoying a 2-1/2 hour sail, you will learn the history of the capture, and ultimate release, of the Mende people of Sierra Leone and their long-fought struggle for freedom.

(Tickets: $35 for adults; free of charge for under 18)
Tuesday, June 6

Wednesday, June 14, 5:30 to 8 p.m.; includes light dinner
(Tickets: $50 for adults; $20 for under 18)
Sails can accommodate 40 guests age 7 and older. All guests are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure. It is important to be prompt because we don’t want to leave anyone behind at the dock or keep our guests waiting on our departure. As of now, the weather looks good for our sails; however, should that change, we will post information on our website and Discovering Amistad's Facebook page.
What to bring
It gets cooler once we are out sailing, and weather can change quickly once we are out on the water. Please bring a hat for sun, sunscreen, a warm layer (fleece or sweater), a water-resistant shell or rain jacket for wind protection (and a bottle of water for non-dinner sails).
All proceeds go to support Discovering Amistad and Juneteenth of Fairfield County.
