The Reverend Stephen W. Camp, M. Div., is Senior Pastor Faith Congregational Church in Hartford. After working at the State Receiving Home for Children, Rev. Camp attended Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion and Philosophy. Rev. Camp furthered his education at the Chicago Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity degree. After graduation, he was called to ministry as pastor of the Lincoln Memorial Congregational, United Church of Christ in Chicago where he served seven years. Rev. Camp later accepted a position as Executive Director of the newly developed South Side Health Project located on the south side of Chicago. This project was designed to provide basic quality medical care for economically poor women and children. The project was funded by major foundation grants and continues to reach out and serve those in need.
